Come to Cosecha and PLAY! Using one of my favorite books, “Sew what! Skirts by Francesca Denhartog and Carole Ann Camp” we will open up the beautiful world of custom design. This class is perfect for all levels that are interested in learning the very basics about apparel and design. We will discuss design options and dive into the world of skirts, creating our own designs from scratch, and then putting our patterns together to make our very own custom made skirt! We will learn how to take our own measurements and choose a style that best fits our unique body type. BRING YOUR OWN 2-5 yards (depending on how long or full of a skirt you want to make) of your favorite fabric. I recommend an easy-to-work-with fabric like cotton, linen, polyester, or wool. I don’t recommend anything with stretch, shine, or transparency if you’re still a very beginner. All other materials will be provided.
